Our clients are exploring their relationships with desire and pleasure in a number of ways, and it becomes a clinician’s responsibility to hold a safe and comfortable space for them to do so. Misunderstanding, assumption, and stigma can cloud our understanding of clients’ sexualities, desires, and related interests and can hold us back from a real and helpful case conceptualization. This workshop explores the less-understood avenues for physical and emotional connection, including bondage and discipline, domination and submission, sadism and masochism (BDSM), kink, and fetish- related desires and practices.
