Professional training at Kip.

Gender and sexuality certificate program

Kip’s Division of Gender and Sexuality offers intensive training opportunities for practitioners throughout the year to build and enhance their competencies in working with LGBTQ populations, including our signature two-year certificate program.

Post-graduate fellowships

Kip’s clinical fellowship provides unique opportunities for recent graduates of social work (LMSWs) and mental health counseling (MHC-LP) programs to accrue hours for New York State clinical licensure. In addition to carrying the necessary caseload to qualify for hours, candidates receive individual and group supervision, and in-service training at no extra charge. We are currently accepting applicants and positions are offered on a rolling basis.

Graduate internships

Kip provides unique opportunities for graduate students to receive intensive clinical experience and supervision. We partner with Columbia University, Hunter College, Fordham University, New York University, City College, Northwestern University and other leading institutions to provide graduate students with unparalleled training that prepares them for advanced clinical practice.
