About Kip

Therapy to help you discover and strengthen your sense of self

Kip is a mental health provider based in NYC, serving clients in the city and across New York State. We’re on a mission to ensure that everyone has a safe environment to seek mental health care and build a more fulfilling life.

Principles

Kip is a trailblazer in the mental health industry. Since 2013, we’ve been rethinking and redesigning therapy for the 21st century. Our work is shaped by three guiding principles:

Include

We provide care for individuals who have been excluded from traditional therapy, particularly members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Invest

We offer training and support for emerging therapists to improve quality of care and unlock new opportunities for diverse clinicians.

Innovate

We boldly push the field of psychotherapy forward, and evolve our own approach based on the latest best practices.

We Live, Work, and Play in New York City.

Our team is spread across all five boroughs and the greater New York metro area. But you can stay at home or hop on the subway for your therapy. You decide.

Meet The Team Behind The Mission

Kip was founded by members of the LGBTQ+ community, and it’s leadership includes LGBTQ+ people, LGBTQ+ allies, and experts in trauma-informed care. Our team ensures that Kip is staying true to our mission, and evolving to meet the ever-changing landscape of psychotherapy, providers of psychotherapy, and the clients who receive our care.
